les collines rive droite!

March 9, 2015 by the life I picked

So happy to announce, Fleisher’s Pasture-Raised Meats in Uptown Kingston now stocks les collines! Our little jars have crossed the mighty Hudson!!

Since I first discovered Fleisher’s in its short-lived Rhinebeck incarnation back in 2008, it has been my ideal of a butcher. The meat is the highest quality, you know where it comes from, and it is apparent in the taste.

Fleisher’s also sells amazing house-made products like broths and meatballs, and the best damn wings– which you smell when you walk through the door– that even a non-winger like me loves. There are local cheeses, Hudson Valley Fresh milk and select sauces and marinades…and now les collines!!

This is a special thrill both because of how highly I think of their concept as old-fashioned butchers with a modern sensibility, and that it is our first rive droite store. There is Fleisher’s Park Slope too, the original, and likely soon other locations, all based on the model of small, local, sustainable farms. It just does not get much better.

Who knows, before long you may be able to grab a jar of Meyer lemon rosemary in Brooklyn if you are sadly city-bound, xo
